Playday at the Mounted Patrol

Playday is an annual family event that actually ranges throughout the summer months and culminates in a competition in mid-September. Family members of the Mounted Patrol work during the summer to sharpen their skills in various activities such as barrel racing, pole bending and keyhole. Advice and guidance from experts is available to help all members of the family learn how to be better horse people. Immediately following the weekly practice sessions, a family pot luck dinner is served in the Patrol Clubhouse. Rick and Rose Corso are the backbone of the event and donate their time and resources to make this a most enjoyable event.
Prizes are awarded by gender and age while winners from previous years are not allowed to take top prize in the same category. Buckles, prize money, awards and the awards dinner are all furnished by Putnam Buick-Pontiac-GMC Truck/Cadillac/Chevrolet.
