the Mounted Patrol
of San Mateo County Presents

Cowboy Poetry Night

 in Woodside, California

at the Mounted Patrol Grounds

521 Kings Mountain Road

  • What song starts off with “Oh give me a home”?

  • Did you ever watch “The Virginian”, “Bonanza”, or “Wagon Train”?

  • What's the name of The Lone Ranger’s horse?

  • Who carried a card that said “Have Gun, Will Travel”

  • Who rode Trigger?

If you can answer yes to any one of these questions, then you need to save the evening of June 23rd for a very special time.

The Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County presents

“Woodside Western Music and Cowboy Poetry”

with the likes of:

Sourdough Slim

Belinda Gail

Ernie Sites

Dave Stamey

Jim Boné

Buckaroo Bob Weber

to regale you with songs, stories, and poetry of the Old West.

It’s funny, it’s entertaining, it’s poignant, and most importantly, it will take you back to a time in your life when the cowboy was king.

This is by any standard a truly unique event.

Woodside, California is about 30 miles south of San Francisco right off of Highway 280. From either Highway 101 or Highway 280, take Woodside Road exit (Highway 84) westbound (that's away from the Bay). A mile after Woodside Road goes under Highway 280, you'll reach the one (and only) stop sign in the town proper of Woodside. Continue straight and after about a mile, you'll reach King's Mountain Road on the right. Take King's Mountain Road for about another mile and the Patrol grounds are on the left. Or you can follow the Cowboy Poetry direction signs once you leave the town of Woodside.
